At the last minute, and still without explanation, the BBC postponed the premiere of “Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home,” a documentary filmed over the last three years of the musician’s life.
“The result is a moving portrait of one of the world’s most entertaining families at a crucial moment in their history. The strength of the love between Ozzy and Sharon, and the devotion of their children to them, is palpable,” the broadcaster said of its production.
“Likewise, it is clear that the family has come to accept the fact that Ozzy is becoming increasingly ill. As Kelly movingly put it, the iron man is not made of iron,” the description continued.
Ozzy Osbourne was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2003. The Black Sabbath frontman dealt with the worsening of the disease over the years and underwent several surgeries after suffering a fall that left him in “extreme pain.”
The documentary will also show details of Ozzy’s last concert in Birmingham, held just weeks before his passing.

Sharon Osbourne spoke about her husband’s last performance in an interview with Pollstar.
“It was the first time, I think, that someone retired this way – with the show broadcast and the proceeds going to charity,” she said.
“It’s the perfect way, when you’ve had such a long career, to end it. I never wanted Ozzy to simply disappear without some big event,” she recalled.
Ozzy Osbourne passed away on July 22, 2025, at home, surrounded by family.
